Missions
End-stage chronic renal failure in children can come from several causes such as congenital kidney and urinary tract abnormalities, genetic disorders, and various types of kidney infection that do not respond to treatment. It often leads to azotemia, electrolyte imbalance in blood, volume overload, and disorders of other organs such as anemia, hypertension, and bone abnormalities. These conditions are treated with renal replacement therapies such as hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and kidney transplantation to allow patients to experience the quality of life that is as normal as possible.
