Obligation

The Pediatric Cardiology Unit is attached to the Cardiac Center at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society, and the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. It is one of Thailand’s leading institutes in pediatric and congenital heart diseases treatment through the following missions:

1. To be a leading national and international institute in the treatment and referral of children with heart disease and congenital heart disease.
2. To be an institute that offers a fellowship training program in pediatric cardiology to produce specialist doctors with advanced knowledge and skills in patient care who are determined to be leaders in comprehensive treatment of children with heart disease and congenital heart diseases.            
3. To develop knowledge, technology, innovation and research to meet the demand for advanced and efficient medical care for children with heart disease and congenital heart disease.            

Operations

Provide patient care in the Children Cardiac Care Ward on the 6^th Floor of SorKor. Building and the Children Cardiac Semi-ICU Ward on the 6^th Floor of SorKor. Building.                                                 

                Provide medical services for the Pediatric Cardiology Clinic on the 9^th Floor of Bhor PorRor. Building.              

                Provide medical care services for the Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Clinic for children and adults on the 6^th Floor of SorKor. Building.                             

                Provide echocardiography, electrocardiogram, and exercise stress test services for outpatients at the Non-invasive Examination Room on the 6^th Floor of SorKor. Building.                                                                                                                                      

Provide advanced cardiac imaging or pediatric cardiac MRI at the MRI examination room on the 2^nd Floor of Bhumisiri Mangkhalanusorn Building, and Cardiac MRI for adults with congenital heart disease at the MRI examination room on the 4^th Floor of Bhumisiri Mangkhalanusorn Building.                         

                Provide cardiac catheterization service for cardiac diagnosis and treatment. Study and conduct electrophysiology test for patients with congenital heart disease at the Cath lab on the 4^th Floor of Bhumisiri Mangkhalanusorn Building.                                                                          

                Provide consultation and generate advanced 3D modelling for treatment planning of patients with congenital heart disease on the 4^th Floor of SorKor. Building.                               

                Offer fellowship training programs in pediatric cardiology.
