King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital is a leading tertiary hospital and the national medical institute with the capacity to become a regional medical hub. Part of its success comes from the use of technologies and advanced academic progress to provide medical services. It is famous for its contribution to the instruction and training of medical doctors, specialists to serve the Thai society while continuing to improve its medical training efficiency. The Simulation & CPR Center is currently attached to Chulalongkorn Healthcare Advanced Multi-Profession Simulation Center (CHAMPS) which is the first center of its kind in Thailand with a medical school status to receive official Teaching/Education accreditation from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) in the United States. The Center operates under the same teaching/educational standards as the Simulation & CPR centers in other world class medical schools.
The Simulation & CPR Center is a simulation-based training center that adopts the same training/education standards as many leading medical schools across the world. Its program puts emphasis on combining theoretical knowledge and practical experiences under unforeseen situations for effective patient care. The primary objectives of simulation-based learning are to improve medical care efficiency, to immediately understand correct medical practices without having to experiment on patients first. Simulation can be used with rare or unfamiliar diseases or situations that are rarely found in normal hospital situations. This will allow full and complete training for all groups of medical students, nurses and nurse assistants as well as medical personnel in other levels of operation.
