After-hours clinics of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society, have been operating since 1995 and is currently operating in collaboration with the Medical Faculty Club of the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society. They offer alternatives to the overcrowded services provided by the Outpatients Department of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital’s and are operated by teaching physicians who are specialists in various fields of medicine. They are divided into the After-hours Clinics and Premium Care Clinics (during operating hours).
Missions
- To reduce patient overcrowding and provide medical care alternatives to patients who cannot visit the Hospital during its normal operating hours and want to be attended by teaching physicians who are specialists in various fields of medicine. Premium Care Clinics provide special services to outpatients during the Hospital’s operating hours. Both types of clinics operate on a prior appointment system for prompt and punctual services.
- Cost-effective use of expensive medical resources.
- Generate supplementary income that the Hospital can use for medical service development and other missions.
- Retain personnel in the organization by providing them with the opportunity to earn extra income from after-hours services to create a better quality of life for personnel.
Duties and obligations
The After-hours Clinics offer diverse and standard medical care services and patient care by teams of medical specialists and personnel in all medical fields available at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, such as the Cardiac Clinic, Skin Clinic, Respiratory (Lung) Clinic, the Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic and so on.
Operations
- Offer examination and treatment services provided by teaching physicians who are specialists in the following fields of medicine available at the Hospital.
- General internal medicine and specialized internal medicine.
- General surgery, orthopedic surgery, colorectal surgery, etc.
- Otorhinolaryngology.
- Dermatology.
- Ophthalmology.
- Rehabilitation medicine.
- Therapeutic procedures such as all types of surgeries, aesthetic laser procedures, etc.
- Diagnostic services such as Lab, X-ray, CT, MRI, Mammogram services.
Outpatient Premium Care Clinic (normal operating hours clinic) A special clinic that opens during the normal operating hours for outpatients who want to avoid overcrowded services and cannot visit the after-hour clinic. It operates as a one stop service clinic on a prior appointment basis for prompt and punctual services in a pleasant environment and ease of access. Like the after-hours clinics, Premier Care Clinic is operated by teaching physicians who are specialists in various fields of medicine.
