Missions
To be a prototype facility for nuclear medicine whose missions are as follows:
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services with the use of standard, safe and reliable nuclear medicine techniques which can be referenced.
- Produce qualified and quality specialists physicians in nuclear medicine, medical physicists, and medical radiologists who can apply their knowledge and expertise to serve the general population.
- To be an educational, training, and study visit institute for both local and foreign medical personnel.
- Regulate, monitor and scrutinize the use of radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive materials in clinical practices. Provide radiation protection equipment and radiation monitors in compliance with the international safety standard for radiation protection.
- Produce research works and innovations with a special emphasis on diagnostic and therapeutic benefits of nuclear medicine to patients.
Operations
- Provide nuclear medicine services for diagnostic purposes.
- Use therapeutic nuclear medicine with diseases that have positive responses to radiotherapy.
- Provide academic support through residency training programs, undergraduate and graduate medical programs, training programs for both local and foreign personnel in other medical specialty both in and outside the Hospital.
- Produce research works and innovations in nuclear medicine and support researches in other medical specialties.
- Regulate radiation safety in the Hospital.
