Type of Patient Care
Patients with heart failure (Heart Failure) resulting from weakened heart muscle that is unable to pump blood to the body’s organs normally. This leads to symptoms such as easy fatigue, difficulty breathing, inability to lie flat, swollen legs, swollen abdomen, and abnormally increased body weight. Heart failure is a chronic condition that can be treated but not cured. Patients require various medications for management. For those with severe symptoms, advanced treatment beyond medication may be necessary, such as cardiac implantable electronic devices, mechanical circulatory support, or heart transplantation.
Care for Patients Before and After Heart Transplantation
Continuing care for heart failure patients, providing complete education to medical personnel (medical students, resident doctors, and specialist doctors) and the general public. Annual national and international scientific conferences are also held for medical professionals (Heart Failure Preceptorship Program). Research related to heart failure and transplant cardiology is also conducted for both Thai society and the international community.
