It is the Division’s duties to maintain the Hospital’s environment and landscape in good and pleasant conditions. Supervise compliance of waste management practices with the correct practices, quality and safety standards to ensure no adverse impact on the environment
Obligation
The Environment and Waste Management Division consist of the Gardening, Waste Management, and Undesirable Animals work groups whose duties are to manage green areas, control undesirable animals, and manage the waste and hazardous waste management system of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in compliance with the aesthetic and safety standards. It aims to become a prototype unit and study visit site for environmental management through the following missions:
- Plant and decorative gardens care and maintenance.
- Perennial plant care and maintenance.
- Landscape improvement.
- Flower plant at Suan Klang Jai Garden care and maintenance.
- Vegetable and herb garden.
- Undesirable animal control.
- Infectious hospital waste control and disposal.
- Chemical waste and highly toxic pharmaceuticals control and disposal.
- Recyclable waste control and disposal.
- General waste control and disposal.
- General toxic waste control and disposal.
Vision
To be a hospital with natural landscape and harmonious combination of vertical and horizontal greening that the Hospital’s personnel and visitors can enjoy from the functional and visual perspectives.
Mission
The Department of Environmental Management’s primary missions are;
- Create a natural environment of lush greenery surrounding the areas of waste treatment that the Hospital’s personnel and visitors can access.
- Raise waste management understanding and awareness.
The Environment and Waste Management Division’s principal missions to support the Hospital’s operations are:
- Environmental and landscape care and maintenance.

- Insects, pest and animal control.
- Construction, transportation, and venue preparation works.
