Missions
Provide general and specialized dental services for normal patients and patients with complex neurological problems, geriatric patients, and patients in tertiary hospitals through multidisciplinary teams under safe, efficient and proper professional standards for dentists. To become a prototype facility for dental treatment and an institute of clinical instruction for undergraduate and graduate dental students.
Operations
- Provide comprehensive outpatient dental treatment to normal patients.
- Take part in a multidisciplinary team in holistic geriatric care program for patients who are referred to the Clinic for consultation with specialists in various specialties.
- Develop and create dental innovations in collaboration with specialists in other specialties of dentistry to improve dental service competency and patients’ quality of life.
- Provide oral cavity care and dental treatment to personnel of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society, and their families.
- Collaborate with the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Unit, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University and Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Center, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, under the multidisciplinary team approach, for correction of craniofacial abnormalities through the use of customized facial implants and orthodontic services for patients with cleft lip and cleft palate.
- Collaborate with the Geriatric Excellence Center under the establishment of a prototype center for holistic geriatric oral cavity care project with the goals of developing methods of risk factors for rapid deterioration of oral cavity assessment for dental health care promotion and oral disease prevention. It also wants to become a part of an effort to delay, as much as possible, the transition period of the elderly who are capable of self-care to those who require caregiver assistance.
- Collaborate with the Department of Oral Surgery, Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University in the instruction of undergraduate and graduate dental students in oral surgery clinical practice and care for patients in tertiary hospitals.
- Collaborate with the Master of Science Program in Geriatric Dentistry and Special Patient Care (International program), Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, in the instruction of post-graduate dental students in geriatric patient care practice and care for patients in tertiary hospitals.
- Collaborate with the Excellence Center for Sleep Disorders, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society, in producing devices for treatment of sleep apnea patients with the assistance of Assistant Professor Premthip Chalidapongse, Ph.D., D.D.S., a specialist from the Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkla University.
