Excellent medical services and health care to people at all levels, in order to develop an inpatient and emergency patient service system

Formerly the Central Transport Administration Department, it was established as “Central Transport Administration Center” in 2015, taking charge of transportation services at the Bhumisiri Mangkhalanusorn building.It is a part of King Chulalongkorn Hospital’s strategy of excellent medical services and health care to people at all levels, in order to develop an inpatient and emergency patient service system. Later, the management team agreed to expand the transportation system capacity all through the hospital from 1st October 2018. And the Central Transport Administration Department was established. From 1 November 2019 onward, the Vehicle Unit was reorganized to be under the Central Transport Administration Department for transportation effectiveness.  

Obligation 

Provide full material and patient transportation services as well as vehicle service to achieve the Hospital’s goal of medical services excellence for all people. 

Mission

To provide full transportation services by skillful and expert individuals. To improve the operational system regularly. 

To develop information technology in order to support efficient services. To support a good service mindset and a good working environment for work effectiveness and excellent service.

Support Activities

Object Transportation 

Provide materials, food, sterile medical supplies, clothes, medical supplies, medicines, medical specimens, medical equipment, saline solution, oxygen tubes, blood, and medical records transportation services.  

Patient Transportation

Provide outpatient and inpatient transportation services.

Vehicle Unit

Vehicle services. Provide in-hospital transportation for patients; transportation services for executives, personnel, Home Health Care and social work personnel, the Hospital’s special activities; and vehicle maintenance services for other work units.

Award and Achievement

The Central Transport Administration Department has won the innovation award, ‘Cozy Block’ from the Performance Improvement Project managed by the Nursing Department in 2019. It also won the 1st prize in the poster presentation event at the Quality Fair, Thammasat University Hospital. 

The ‘Cozy Block’ innovation was initiated to improve the inpatient transportation service. There was once an accident with a patient in a splint.  The ‘Cozy Block’ was invented with adjustable functions to increase effectiveness and convenience to patients while it can be applied to all kinds of vehicles. This is one of the projects the Central Transport Administration Department are most proud of.
