Privilege and Honorary Privilege from Donation

Privilege

Benefactor of the Thai Red Cross Society means a person who makes a one-time donation of money, goods, land, or other assets for use in the operations and activities of the Thai Red Cross Society. Heirs of donors who have donated eyes or organs to the Thai Red Cross Society shall be entitled to donor privileges in accordance with the criteria prescribed by the Thai Red Cross Society.
Associate Benefactor means a person designated by a Gold-level or Diamond-level Benefactor.
Benefactors of the Thai Red Cross Society are classified into two types as follows:

Cumulative Donation over 5,000,000 THB no more  5 years, will be granted the privilege when reaching total amount. The donator should inform financial officer to make a record in all receipts.

Donors who make a contribution of 40,000 baht or more shall be eligible for registration as benefactors of the Thai Red Cross Society, in accordance with the Regulations B.E. 2560 (2017), and shall be entitled to receive the following benefits:

  1. Upon downloading the “Donation HUB” mobile application, donors will receive an electronic Benefactor Card to maintain benefactor privileges at the various levels of the Thai Red Cross Society.
  2. Membership insignia of the Thai Red Cross Society.

The documents required for the registration of benefactors of the Thai Red Cross Society are as follows:

  1. A completed Benefactor Registration Form, including the following details:
    • Full name of the donor
    • Date of birth of the applicant
    • Address and telephone number of the benefactor applicant
  2. A copy of the national identification card
Note In cases where donations do not comply with the regulations of the Thai Red Cross Society, approval must be obtained from the Secretary General of the Thai Red Cross Society.
  1. Donors shall be entitled to benefits in accordance with the Thai Red Cross Society Regulation on “Medical Benefits for Benefactors of the Thai Red Cross Society, B.E. 2560 (2017).”
  2. In the case of juristic person donors, a legally authorized representative, as stipulated in the articles of association or the instrument of establishment, shall designate the individuals entitled to receive medical benefits in accordance with the number specified in the Medical Benefits Table for Juristic Person Benefactors. A written certification is required.
  3. The benefits granted to benefactors are personal rights and are non-transferable and non-assignable, except in cases where the transfer of rights is made within 30 days prior to the use of medical benefits from the date of donation and has been approved by the Secretary General of the Thai Red Cross Society.
  4. Any request to change the benefactor level based on the total amount of donation must be submitted in writing upon reaching the prescribed criteria, together with the cancellation of the previous entitlement.
  5. The medical benefits of benefactors shall terminate upon death and shall not be transferable or assignable to any other person.
  6. Benefactors who are entitled to medical expense reimbursement from their own organization or family benefits shall exercise such rights first. Any excess expenses beyond such entitlement may then be claimed as a deduction from the Thai Red Cross Society.
  7. The Thai Red Cross Society reserves the right to amend or revise the medical benefits without prior notice to benefactors or associated benefactors.

Benefactors may receive medical benefits at the following Thai Red Cross Society medical facilities:

  • King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society
  • Somdej Phra Boromraja Thewi Hospital at Sriracha, Thai Red Cross Society, Chonburi Province
  • Thai Red Cross Stations under the Office of Relief and Community Health Bureau, Thai Red Cross Society
  • Rehabilitation Medicine Center, Thai Red Cross Society
  • Research Center for AIDS and Communicable Diseases, Thai Red Cross Society

Medical expenses for which benefactors are entitled to deductions at Thai Red Cross Society medical facilities include:

  1. Room and meal charges
  2. Medical treatment fees, medication costs, and medical supplies
  3. Prosthetic devices and medical equipment in accordance with the announcements of the Comptroller General’s Department
  4. Laboratory tests and diagnostic radiology examinations as medically indicated
  5. Procedure fees, surgical fees, childbirth fees, anesthesiology services, rehabilitation medicine services, and other medical services not listed as exclusions by the Thai Red Cross Society

Medical Expenses Not Eligible for Deduction

  1. Services received at special clinics and special nursing charges
  2. Items listed under the specific list, including cosmetic medications, fertility-related medications, dietary supplements, and vaccines (except rabies vaccine, tetanus vaccine, and vaccines for patients with functional or anatomical asplenia), as well as high-cost cancer drugs and/or high-cost chemotherapy agents
  3. Medical supplies listed under the specific list, including disease prevention supplies, cosmeceuticals, and consignment medical supplies
  4. Radiation therapy and radiotherapy services
  5. Special diagnostic examinations performed outside Thai Red Cross Society medical facilities
  6. Diagnostic procedures listed under the specific list, such as PET scans
  7. Treatments listed under the specific list, such as organ transplantation, infertility treatment, cosmetic procedures, and gender reassignment surgery
  8. Other non-medical expenses, such as telephone charges, electricity charges, and drinking water

The Red Cross Medal is a type of royal decoration. The Thai Red Cross Society shall proceed with requesting the Royal Grant of the Red Cross Medal for persons who make a one-time donation of money or assets for the benefit of the activities of the Thai Red Cross Society; donors of blood, plasma, or hematopoietic stem cells to the Thai Red Cross Society; as well as persons who render assistance to the Thai Red Cross Society through physical service or intellectual contribution, in accordance with the criteria prescribed by the Thai Red Cross Society.

The Red Cross Medal, First Class (Suwadee)

The Thai Red Cross Society shall submit a request for the Royal Grant to persons who donate money or assets with a value in accordance with the regulations of the Office of the Prime Minister governing the criteria for the conferment of the Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn, First Class, or to persons who provide exceptional support to the activities of the Thai Red Cross Society, thereby significantly contributing to its advancement and progress.

The Red Cross Medal, Second Class (Suwadee)

The Thai Red Cross Society shall submit a request for the Royal Grant to persons who donate money or assets with a value in accordance with the regulations of the Office of the Prime Minister governing the criteria for the conferment of the Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn, Second Class, or to persons who provide exceptional support to the activities of the Thai Red Cross Society, thereby greatly contributing to its advancement and progress.

The Red Cross Medal of Appreciation, First Class

The Thai Red Cross Society shall submit a request for the Royal Grant to persons who make a one-time donation of money or assets in the amount or value of not less than 600,000 baht; persons who have donated blood or plasma to the Thai Red Cross Society on no fewer than 100 occasions; persons who have donated hematopoietic stem cells; and persons who have rendered outstanding services to the Thai Red Cross Society and have held the Red Cross Medal of Appreciation, Second Class, for a period of not less than eight years.

The Red Cross Medal of Appreciation, Second Class

The Thai Red Cross Society shall submit a request for the Royal Grant to persons who make a one-time donation of money or assets in the amount or value of not less than 300,000 baht; persons who have donated blood or plasma to the Thai Red Cross Society on no fewer than 75 occasions; and persons who have rendered outstanding services to the Thai Red Cross Society and have held the Red Cross Medal of Appreciation, Third Class, for a period of not less than six years.

The Red Cross Medal of Appreciation, Third Class

The Thai Red Cross Society shall submit a request for the Royal Grant to persons who have donated blood or plasma to the Thai Red Cross Society on no fewer than 50 occasions; and to persons who have provided assistance to the Thai Red Cross Society through physical service, intellectual contribution, and labor for a period of not less than four years, with recognized achievements in various fields, such as fundraising, public relations, membership recruitment, Red Cross Youth activities, disaster relief, and other related activities.

Certificate Accompanying the Red Cross Medal

Note: The conferment of the Red Cross Medal shall be subject to approval by the Medal Consideration Committee and the Executive Committee of the Thai Red Cross Society.

Royal Decoration

The Donator will receive Honorary Privilege, and can also request for The Red Cross Royal Decorative or The Royal decorative of Diredgunabhorn given by the King based on Amount of Donation as following
